Hippocampus was the ride of two of the most important deities in Greek mythology, Poseidon and Neptune. These fabled creatures first appeared in Homeric poems, who would draw Poseidon's chariot through the waves. Because of their mythical status, they are associated with imagination and creativity.
This hippocampus has a high polish finish with antiquing to highlight the details. The seahorse (with bail) approximately measures 66mm long x 40mm wide at the tail x 6mm thick. The bail can accommodate a chain or cord necklace up to 4mm.
